Michelle is a member of the Onsite Sewage Treatment Program (OSTP) team. As an education specialist she helps to provide research-based education and technical assistance to homeowners, small communities, onsite professionals, and local units of government regarding subsurface sewage treatment systems. She assists in the development and delivery of the nationally recognized Onsite Sewage Treatment Program for certification of onsite sewage treatment professionals in the State of Minnesota, and the OSTP research program. Prior to joining the Water Resources Center, Michelle worked in urban stormwater management. She holds an M.S. in Water Resources Science & Microbiology from Oregon State University, and a B.S in Zoology & Russian Language from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
