Dr. Lucy Levers, a research associate, is an environmental scientist and economist at the Water Resources Center. With a PhD and Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from University of California, Riverside and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, she incorporates natural resource, ecological, and environmental economics into interdisciplinary research projects. Currently, she is working on nitrogen pollution through cover crop and perennial crop modelling and subsidy analysis, environmental water transfers for the Salton Sea, perennial groundwater use, drinking water contaminant risk assessments, and aquatic invasive species management and valuation.
