As a senior manager of the Water Resource Center (WRC), the associate director is expected to work closely with the WRC director to strategically integrate the center’s research, Extension, and education activities. Key roles of the position include managing the WRC’s operations and supervising four (4) full-time staff. The associate director will also serve as programmatic leader and supervisor to six (6) Extension educators, affording the opportunity to unify Extension programming with the WRC water programming for heightened impact.
This position works within the Water Resources Center in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS), and also works in collaboration with CFANS College Finance Department. Responsibilities include budget management, pre and post award management for sponsored projects, policy compliance, document review and approval (sponsored and non-sponsored), effort management, accounts receivable and external sales management, ad-hoc reporting and trouble shooting for the Water Resources Center. The Finance Professional 3 will serve as an expert resource to faculty and departmental staff on all aspects of university accounting, including sponsored projects, as well as financial and reporting systems.
